[Come Tuesday morning, Mira is going to be looking around the motel for Jay. She has something to give him, and is pretty excited about it! So she'll just be walking about trying to locate him.]

It is odd you thought that. None of us really have the luxury of comfort or safety here. Why did you think he would make it longer though, he's just a kid?

[ninjay]

He didn't seem stupid.

[ the implication here is that jay thinks the way dave died was stupid. ]

[perceptions]

Lot of stupid people here Jay. Like those three who fought giant killer bugs yesterday.

[It's only Tuesday.]

[ninjay]

No, you're right. I think it's more that... he might have lived if someone went with him. He was overpowered by himself. But this game makes you less likely to go to someone else for help.

[perceptions]

[She pauses to that, knowing it's true but not quite sure how to respond. It takes her a moment to make a decision.]

That's what this game is about Jay. Not about killing, or monsters. It's about trust.

[ninjay]

I know. It's what's frustrating, because you technically need to trust people enough to exchange information with them, because you won't get very far knowing nothing. But you can't really trust the info you're getting unless it's proven without a doubt to be true.

[perceptions]

In that situation... don't worry about trusting the info. Worry about trusting the person it comes from. If you think the person is worth believing in, then you need to just hope you're not wrong.

[ninjay]

There are a lot of people here who are probably very trustworthy during normal circumstances. The problem is... would they still retain that trait under these circumstances or not?

[perceptions]

No, they wouldn't. [She says quickly.] But even so, no one in real life is always a hundred percent trustworthy. If you live by those extremes, you don't get anywhere. Duplicity and manipulation occur every day, whether we are aware of it or not.

[ninjay]

Hm.

Do you think people are working together then? It's a popular theory amongst the people here.
